About Kiersten

Hello, I’m Kiersten, the face behind Kiersten Brooke Travels.

Since I was young, I’ve had a huge passion for exploring the world. With my extracurricular background rooted in figure skating and track, movement and exploration have always been important to me!

Traveling the world with my family has been a lifelong dream. Initially, I believed that pursuing a career in medicine would help make my traveling dreams a reality. However, life had other plans, and through the support of an incredible community of fellow travel-loving parents, I’ve found my purpose in inspiring others to embark on memorable family adventures.

Today, I’m happily married to my husband Ryan, a medical student and my high school sweetheart, and blessed with two beautiful daughters, Adaline who is 3 and Eloise who is 5 months old! Our chaotic but fun lives are filled with joyful family adventures and showing my littles the world is my biggest passion, as well as inspiring other parents to do the same!

My Name Is Kiersten

Growing up, my family instilled in me a deep appreciation for travel, teaching me to prioritize experiences over material possessions. This mindset stayed with me into adulthood, guiding me to explore the world whenever possible, from studying abroad at Oxford University to embracing budget travel by camping and staying in hostels as a college student. These adventures reinforced my belief that where there’s a will, there’s always a way to pursue one’s passions.

"Traveling with my family became therapeutic"

I began to grow an audience on social media for a year or so, but it wasn’t until I announced my pregnancy on TikTok that I gained traction and realized the potential impact of authentic storytelling. This pivotal moment, coupled with the challenges of motherhood, inspired me to defer my studies in PA school and delve into content creation during my self-proclaimed “maternity leave.”

Motherhood, while rewarding, presented its own set of struggles for me in the first year, as I really struggled mentally postpartum. However, content creation and traveling with my family became therapeutic outlets that helped me overcome these challenges and rediscover my passion for life. As I shared our adventures and insights, I found fulfillment in helping other families gain confidence to embark on their own travel journeys.

My approach to content creation is rooted in authenticity and relatability, as I strive to share both the highs and lows of family travel and offer practical advice to my audience.

Since we began traveling as a family of three in 2021, we’ve visited 13 countries and over 50 cities, with Eloise joining us on adventures to Iceland and the Dominican Republic before even learning to roll over. Closer to home, we love exploring more local destinations like Disney, the beach, and hiking in the mountains of North Georgia and Tennessee.

In 2023 alone, we embarked on an incredible 27 trips, making it difficult to choose a favorite. However, one of the most empowering experiences was traveling while solo-parenting Adaline for two weeks to 5 countries around Europe while pregnant with Eloise. Despite the challenges of morning sickness and fatigue, it reaffirmed my belief that I can overcome any obstacle and that travel with littles can be difficult but empowering and fun all at the time same.

Our travels have been full of countless surreal moments, yet the ones that resonate most deeply are those shared as a family. Whether it’s the exhilaration of whale watching, the enchantment of swimming with turtles, or the joy of witnessing Adaline’s first attempts at skiing, these experiences bind us together in a unique and profound way. It’s this connection, fostered through our adventures, that fuels my passion for inspiring other parents to embrace travel with their children. After all, there’s nothing quite like exploring the world together to establish lasting bonds and create treasured memories that us as parents will surely never forget!

Looking ahead, our bucket list includes exploring Asia, Africa, and New Zealand/Australia in the coming years. I can’t wait to share our future adventures with you and see what 2024 has in store for us!

When I'm not jet-setting with my family, you can find me embracing the challenges and triumphs of cross fit workouts or enjoying hiking, shopping, and hanging out with friends and family.

One of our most impactful trips was when we housesat in Spain with our daughter, Adaline, at 5-6 months old. Living off their chickens' eggs and PB&Js, we discovered the joy of traveling as a family, igniting my passion for sharing our adventures to inspire others to pursue family travel.

While my husband's demanding schedule can sometimes pose challenges to our travel plans, it hasn't deterred me from embarking on solo adventures with our older daughter, Adaline. Hopefully I'll have the confidence to take on solo travel with both girls soon!
